Reflections for the 8 Days of Hanukkah – Download

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,
on them has light shone.  (Isaiah 9:2)

Hanukkah Sameach!  Happy Hanukkah!  חנכה שמח

 During the 8 days of Hanukkah, may you be blessed with these daily reflections on the beauty and meaning contained in this Feast of Dedication, which Yeshua himself observed in His Father’s House, the Temple in Jerusalem (John 10:22).

During the celebration of the Festival of Hanukkah, it is customary to place one’s hanukkiah close to a window, or even outside the entrance of one’s home if possible, in order that the brightness of its light might be a welcoming sight and warm the hearts of those passing by in the darkness of the street. During the centuries of exile, and in dangerous times, Jews were not able to display their hanukkiahs in the street. Today, celebrating the freedom of being home once again in the Land of Israel, many choose to do just that.
