Holiness of Time – 5.15 minutes
We are defined by who we are and not by the material things we have.
Become attuned to the holiness in time.
To light the Sabbath candles is our way of creating light; and of remembering that He is the Source of Light and that in His light we see light.

Yes. So true; there is an End of Days – an end of time. G-d created the first day and has set in place the last day – one that will usher in eternity in the full light of His glory. HalleluYah!
Keren, could you explain about what it means to worship Yeshua in spirit and in truth. I am frustrated and confused, and can’t figure if I am actually worshiping Yeshua in spirit and truth. HELP
Mike, what Yeshua says, in the beautiful and powerful account of the Samaritan woman at the well, is: “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.”
He adds: “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in SPIRIT and TRUTH.”
He then clearly identifies himself as Messiah (Jn 4:21-26) and Savior of the world (v.42).
Firstly, ask yourself: WHO is Yeshua saying we should be worshipping?
HOW should we be worshipping? In v.34 he says: “My food/sustenance (physically, mentally, spiritually) is to do the WILL of Him who sent me [i.e., the Father who has made His will known clearly in His Word of TRUTH. What Word of Truth was Yeshua referring to?]… and to accomplish His work.”
How do we know the work the Father has for us to do? This is personal and different for each one, so we must hear from Him and know deep in our spirit – He is SPIRIT and commmunes with our spirit via His Spirit of Holiness. To do this we must be in close relationship with Him – which, in Yeshua, we are able to do and to grow in.
Mike, it’s a big question and not really space here to do it justice… but to sum up briefly: We are told how God wants to be worshipped in His written Word – the Hebrew Scriptures and the Apostolic Writings – and confirmed in Yeshua (which is to worship in Truth). And, it must not only be with the mind and outwardly for show (as many of the corrupted leaders in the Temple were doing) but from within, with our deepest heart and SPIRIT in loving obedience to Him, as Yeshua so wonderfully demonstrated.
Beautifully explained and easily understood. Thank you!
Thanks for this Keren. I light Shabbat candles every Friday night, sometimes it’s the last thing I want to do after a stressful day & week at work, however I always – always feel better for it. It does make a difference. Shalom from Adelaide!!
Shalom dear Jenny! Thanks for sharing your experience of what a blessing this one little act, when done in faith, proves to be.
